History:

Larchmont, New York, is a historic village in Westchester County with roots dating back to the 17th century, when the land was purchased from the Siwanoy tribe by European settlers. Originally an agricultural area, it transformed in the mid-19th century with the arrival of the railroad, becoming a popular summer resort for wealthy New Yorkers. The Larchmont Manor Company helped develop the area with large seaside homes, a yacht club, and the scenic Manor Park.
